Cabarete’s story didn’t begin with tourism. The settlement was founded back in 1835, long before it became a global destination for water sports.

It creates an incredible contrast: in the morning, you can be flying over the ocean on a kite, and just a few hours later, you can find yourself deep in the jungle, exploring caves.
